We love hearing stories of how God is drawing people to Himself and how local churches are becoming places where people find faith, belonging and hope.

Jade Hall is a young mum and entrepreneur who recently started attending New Life Church. After a journey of searching, building a new business and rediscovering prayer, Jade recently made a personal commitment to follow Jesus. This is her story, in her own words:

'I’m new to New Life Church, and really happy to call it my new home. I’ve had to pray really hard, in order to stay focused on building a new business, and take the leap of faith to leave what was a well-paid job and take on that risk to launch something I was passionate about. In order to do that, I channelled all of my energy and focus into prayer, without knowing I would end up in church. I just put myself out there and my faith in there being a God, and he rewarded me with success. It took a little while to build my business, for the first six months I didn’t earn a penny, but towards the end of last year, and as my faith strengthened, it really did explode! And now I’m doing what I’m most passionate about, so I’m very grateful. When I was younger, I grew up as a Catholic, then I went my own way and partied probably too hard, and ventured into a world that wasn’t really me. And then I realised, through all of that, I do believe in God, and there was something always pulling me back to God, something always pulling me back to prayer, something pulling me back to church. And I just embraced it, finally, and here I am.

I don’t necessarily have a big family or parental figures or anything. I felt quite alone trying to navigate my way through life, and now I feel comforted knowing that I’m never going to be alone, I will always have Jesus by my side looking out for me. I just need to speak to him and spread the word myself and make sure everybody can really embrace Jesus.'

Jade’s story is a beautiful reminder that God is always drawing people towards Himself, and that a church family can become a place of belonging for those who have felt alone. We celebrate with Jade as she begins this new chapter of following Jesus and look forward to seeing all that God will continue to do in and through her life.
