What happens when you gather thousands of people, give them a space to create, worship, connect and encounter God—and then invite them to capture the experience themselves?

At Catalyst Festival 2026, the Sputnik team set out to explore exactly that through Catalyst//Compiled, a collaborative art project created entirely from the sights, sounds and stories of the festival.

Over the three-day festival, audio, photographs and video were collected, captured and created by festival attendees, bringing together countless individual perspectives of what it meant to be part of Catalyst Festival. Overseen by Elizabeth J. Birch and Luke Furmage, the project gathered these contributions and brought them together into one comprehensive creative work.

A festival captured by its people

Rather than documenting the festival from a single perspective, Catalyst//Compiled gave the wider festival community the opportunity to contribute to the story.

Every photograph, recording and piece of video became part of a much bigger picture: the people, worship, creativity, conversations, celebrations and everyday moments that made up Catalyst Festival 2026.
